I was asked to contribute because of Bob was very attracted to Asian philosophy.
This KANJI means “a peaceful journey.”“ go well “ “Fare thee well .”
Not simply a farewell, but a sense of being sent forward —
of continuing to walk, of the path carrying on.
Rooted in Asian philosophy, it holds the idea of journey and music together.
Rather than “having gone,” it speaks of moving onward.
He was a traveler and a seeker.
So this word is not about parting, but about continuation —
not goodbye, but what is carried forward.”
